Crysis 3....is going to be set in NY again....*slow dramatic facepalm*
That same....dull....city that takes up a majority of urban city locations...okay....
I've just gotten to the point of accepting that the city is just soo DAMN "fascinating" and jaw droppingly "gorgeous" that people can't get enough of it.....
My mind is just blown how that damn city can be just center of attention of EVERYTHING!!
It truly is amazing that the country with the most cultural diversity and different can just spew out just same, repetitive locals time after time, I'm not saying this is with all developers, I mean in the Fallout series is a PERFECT example of someone wanting to keep the location in America but constantly keep it fresh but 90% of the time it's ether in New York or a New York look alike, it just drains and baffles me to no end.
When it comes to other countries most of the time it's ether WW2 or the middle east and it amazingly just fits the american stereotype perfectly, I just wish there could be a good, american game that isn't swept up in "patriotism" and "America's enemy's" bullshit.
Something that's fictional, something's that's alturnitive universe, something....fresh and unique....like having Crysis 3 set in holland, tearing up beautiful, colorful garden's and windmill's as a super soldier.
So any game developer or movie director out there.....just leave new york alone, please?
